  • Relay for Life 2013

A team of our members took part in the UCD Relay for Life in aid of the Irish Cancer Society in 2013. This 24-hour Relay saw our members walking or running around the track in turns, some manning the stand, selling cakes to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society.

In addition to this, we received huge support from the School and we would like to thank them for this. We would also like to thank again our fantastic bakers (Steve, Sarah and Rowan), and helpers on the day - especially Tom Manning, our resident Viking, who attracted so much public attention to our stall thanks to his fantastic costume and Viking horn.

  • Flora Women's mini marathon

Mairead Sweeney ran the Flora Mini Marathon for Youth Suicide Prevention Ireland in June 2013.
The mini marathon is a 10km race through the centre of Dublin and can be run in support of your favourite cause. It is a fantastic event to take part in and Mairead seriously trained for this and made the Society proud on the day.
Previous PRO Mairead, here helping at at Archaeofest 2013 in Merrion Square.
